Summary: "Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." (Romans 12:19) "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord" (Hebrews 12:14). Peace with man is inseparable from holiness. "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith." (Galatians 6:10). "Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the Lord, and he shall save thee." (Proverbs 20:22) "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." (John 13:35) "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15) Just because we follow and love Christ doesn't mean there will not be conflict at times. Jesus loves in spite of personal injury or imperfections in His fellow man, and calls His followers to do the same.
